"The audience loved it .... a man beside me was almost crying with laughter."
Performing is my life!
I became fascinated with the art of magic at the age of seven but at university I learned how to play the guitar and started to write songs. In my spare time I managed to get a degree in Pure Maths and taught in various comprehensive schools.
Scores of my songs were recorded - many included in two albums I produced. Turning to acting, I joined a theatre group eventually starring in a play I wrote for which I also wrote the music. It was taken to the Edinburgh Fringe and was a great success. And so was the magic show I put on at the same festival.
In 1987 I gave up my job as Deputy Head and became a comedy magician performing close-up and cabaret magic all over the world. Soon I was lecturing to other magicians and then giving talks to corporate and other organisations.
I then began developing public speaking skills and now find myself in demand as an inspiring or humorous speaker.
